Welcome to GeBook Matrimonial. By creating a profile or using our services, you unconditionally agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions, which are governed by Indian laws.

1. Eligibility and Legal Age

  • Minimum Age Requirement: Per Indian law, male users must be at least 21 years old and female users must be at least 18 years old.
  • Marital Status: You must be legally single, divorced, or widowed. If a divorce is pending, your profile status must transparently reflect "awaiting divorce".
  • Legal Competency: You confirm you possess the legal capacity to enter into a binding marriage contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.

2. Scope of Service and Usage Rules

  • Strictly Matrimonial Purposes: This platform is designed exclusively for seeking serious marriage alliances. Using this site for dating, casual hookups, or commercial promotions is strictly banned.
  • Content Standards: Users must not upload obscene images, use abusive language, or harass other registrants.
  • Information Integrity: You guarantee that all background information, physical attributes, photos, and documents uploaded are authentic and true.

3. Platform Liability Disclaimer

  • No Verification Guarantee: GeBook Matrimonial acts as a digital facilitator. We do not independently verify background credentials, character, or medical history of profiles.
  • User Discretion: Members are advised to conduct independent background checks before finalizing any marriage alliance.
  • Intermediary Status: The portal operates as an intermediary under Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000, and is not responsible for misrepresentations made by users.

4. Privacy and Account Security

  • Credential Security: You are solely responsible for protecting your login ID and password.
  • Data Usage: Your personal information will be safely handled according to the GeBook Privacy Policy and current Indian data protection regulations.
  • Right to Terminate: GeBook reserves the right to terminate, block, or delete any profile without prior notice if fraudulent or non-compliant behavior is observed.

5. Profile Verification by Gurudwara Sahib

  • Verification: Gurudwara Sahib solely uses the Aadhaar Card details to validate the Registered Profile. The Registered Profile residency status may or may not be physically examined by Gurudwara Sahib.
  • Rights: Gurudwara Sahib is fully authorized to confirm the registered profile. Additionally, Gurudwara Sahib is fully entitled to return the Verified Registered Profile to the Pending Status.
  • Not Second Option: You won't be able to get it certified by another Gurudwara Sahib if Gurudwara Sahib once verified your Registered Profile and then returned it to Pending status.
  • Not Bond/Gurantee: Gurudwara Sahib makes no promises or bonds to confirm the Registered Profile's or its family's financial, mental, or social standing.
